The Special Committee on Beating Cancer of the European Parliament (BECA), in association with the Committee on Women’s Rights and Gender Equality (FEMM) organised a hearing on “Beating Breast Cancer: Challenges and opportunities” on Tuesday 27 October 2020.
The hearing had been organized in the context of the October Breast Cancer Awareness Month and was part of the programme of the European Gender Equality Week, promoted by FEMM.
This event represented the opportunity to hear the experts' contributions of Dr Isabel T. Rubio, President, European Society of Breast Cancer Specialists - EUSOMA and Mr Jürgen Vanpraet, Managing Director, Think Pink Europe on the state of play of the disease concerning research, prevention, detection, shared knowledge and expertise, equal access to treatment and support to patients and caregivers.
