The 2024 Annual Session of the Parliamentary Conference on the WTO, Abu Dhabi 24 and 25 February 2024

Members will converge on Abu Dhabi on 25 February discuss the future of the World Trade Organisation (WTO) at this time of geopolitical, economic, development and climate challenges.

A delegation of nine Members, all of the Committee on International Trade, will meet parliamentarians from all over the world to enter into dialogue with WTO negotiators and officials on future tasks and opportunities facing the body.

At the Parliamentary Conference on the WTO, an annual gathering of deputies co-organised by the European Parliament, the topics on the agenda include 'shaping and strengthening a multilateral trading system that delivers for all', 'trade and climate change: a win-win interaction' and digital trade in the era of resilient economies'.

At the end of this gathering of parliamentarians from all over the world, the parliamentarians will adopt an outcome document, which will be presented to the President of the Thirteenth Ministerial Conference of the WTO.
