Am 16. Januar wird das Europäische Parlament auf seiner Plenartagung das 30-jährige Bestehen des Binnenmarkts würdigen. Darüber hinaus soll das Europäische Parlament über einen Entschließungsantrag abstimmen, der am 12. Dezember 2022 vom Ausschuss für Binnenmarkt und Verbraucherschutz angenommen wurde. Die Kommission kündigte in ihrem Arbeitsprogramm für 2023 an, zu Beginn des ersten Quartals des Jahres eine Mitteilung zum 30-jährigen Bestehen des Binnenmarkts zu veröffentlichen.

Neufassung der Roaming-Verordnung der EU

Am 24. Februar 2021 hat die Kommission eine Neufassung der geltenden Roaming-Verordnung vorgeschlagen, damit die Verbraucher das sogenannte Roaming in anderen Mitgliedstaaten auch künftig ohne Zusatzentgelte nutzen können. Mit der neuen Verordnung würde das Roaming zu Inlandspreisen um zehn Jahre bis 2032 verlängert. Das Europäische Parlament soll voraussichtlich im März im Plenum über die in den interinstitutionellen Verhandlungen erzielte Einigung abstimmen.

Auf der Plenartagung im Februar 2022 wird das Parlament über einen legislativen Initiativbericht abstimmen, in dem die Kommission aufgefordert wird, eine Richtlinie über gemeinsame Maßnahmen für Organisationen ohne Erwerbszweck sowie eine Verordnung zur Festlegung eines Status für europäische länderübergreifende Vereinigungen und Organisationen ohne Erwerbszweck vorzulegen.
