During its first plenary session in October, Parliament is expected to vote on the provisional agreement resulting from interinstitutional negotiations on the legislative proposal to amend the 2014 Radio Equipment Directive. The proposal is to introduce common chargers and charging ports – USB Type-C – for mobile phones and other small portable devices sold in the EU.
